> How to get into Shared Ownership
Firstly
you will need to find a property you want to buy. You can either
approach your local Housing Association or you can buy from someone
who already owns a shared property. If you do opt to buy privately,
the Housing Association will still need to be approached to ensure
that you meet their criteria. Many Housing Associations have waiting
lists for properties on their books so if you plan to purchase
in this way, it is a good idea to add your name to their list
as quickly as possible.
The easiest way to locate your local Housing Association
is to look on www.housingcorp.gov.uk
under the Public
Register of Social Landlords and you will find
a list of all the Associations.
