BARRY SUMMERS has been involved in financial services in sales, business development and strategic planning roles for over twenty years being employed by Laing & Co, Provident Mutual and General Accident. In 1992 and 1994 he received nominations and 1993 was the winner of the Gore Browne Trophy for achievement in business sales and development. He left General Accident (now CGNU) in early 1996 to start the independent financial advisory business Horlock IFA consultants Limited which specialises in corporate pension schemes and investment portfolio management for directors and high net worth clients. His contacts in the financial services industry are manifold and as a regulated IFA looks deep into the compliance history of any regulated Newfinance alliances and introducer arrangements.
